Android 14 호환성 정의의 섹션 3.2.2에 설명된 것처럼 특정 문자열만 시스템 속성인 android.os.Build.VERSION.RELEASE에 허용됩니다. 그 이유는 애플리케이션과 웹사이트가 이 문자열에 예측 가능한 값을 사용할 수 있고, 그러면 최종 사용자가 기기에서 실행 중인 Android 버전을 쉽고 확실하게 식별할 수 있기 때문입니다.
향후 Android 소프트웨어 버전에서 이 문자열이 수정되어도 API 동작은 변경되지 않을 수 있으므로, 해당 버전에는 새로운 CDD(호환성 정의 문서)가 포함되지 않을 수 있습니다. 이 페이지에는 Android 14 기반 시스템에서 허용되는 버전이 명시되어 있습니다. Android 14에서 android.os.Build.VERSION.RELEASE에 허용하는 유일한 값은 다음과 같습니다.
