הערכים החוקיים של rate נעים בין MIN_INT16 ל-MAX_INT16. הטמעות פלטפורמה צריכות לנסות למפות את הטווח הזה באופן לינארי לשיעור השינוי המינימלי/מקסימלי של החומרה.
